2.人体肠道病原细菌与宿主互作机制
病原细菌严重威胁人体健康和公共卫生，且大量病原细菌感染和致病机制尚不清楚。该方向主要以致癌性病原细菌（幽门螺杆菌、具核梭杆菌、艰难梭菌等）为研究对象，探讨病原菌感染宿主致病机制和防控策略。
3.肠道益生菌与宿主互作及工程菌应用
肠道微生态对于宿主代谢和免疫功能具有重要意义，探讨肠道益生菌及其代谢物的生物学功能，具有广阔的应用前景。该方向主要探讨肠道益生菌及微生物来源的药用代谢小分子调节宿主免疫机制和疾病治疗价值。
